How it Works
The mission of Harris Management Services, LLC is to increase the economic and environmental sustainability of our community by focusing on three principles:
-
Helping guide the energy of people toward their highest skill and aspirations.
-
Nurturing a network of cooperative, community-based enterprises.
-
Being a channel for the application of sustainable practices and renewable energy.
#1. Fostering Culture – We
create a place of work where making a living features gratitude and is
characterized by simplicity. Our theme is work=love=play. We most highly
value the state of being in connection and providing a safe harbor and a
place of healing for all who work here. We make a living doing something we
love.
#2. Building a Knowledge Base – We regularly research data to develop useful
and valuable rules of thumb for applying technology. We filter this data to
glean information and organize it into useful knowledge. We approach
learning as a joyful, lifetime process.
#3. Gathering Experience – We work closely with equipment and material
vendors, trades-people and contractors that have first-hand experience with
technical solutions that we recommend. We participate in meetings to expand
our experience, and expect intuition to guide us in making excellent,
valuable recommendations.
#4. Letting Wisdom Emerge – We hone our purpose through intention and
meditation, flexibility and adaptability. We make our actions congruent with
sustainability and are empathic with the needs of the world.
#5. Acting with Wisdom – We deliver products and services through
imagination that fulfill our mission. These products and services include
consulting, coaching, Reiki, workshops, sustainability action plans, project
coordination services, and community business services like bookkeeping,
local currency projects and a community energy co-op.
#6. Delivering Benefits – We provide clients with emotional clearing,
energetic alignment, the removal of blockages, experiences of flow, the
ability to start and stay in business, office organization and the
implementation of sustainability projects.
#7. Creating Community – We nurture healthy, local connections by focusing
first on our immediate community and second on the lower valley. We develop
a valuable network of people and organizations. We understand the needs of
this community and help lead it to vibrancy.
#8. Establishing Ourselves as Experts – We deliver wisdom outside our community; writing, teaching and speaking our expertise. We offer publicity releases and express our connections with those around us.
